The Weil Miniaturized Chest Compressor took 10 years for physicians and engineers at the Rancho Mirage institute to develop. Weighing 4.4 pounds, the compressor is lighter and easier to carry for paramedics and emergency responders.
“We believe this is a promise fulfilled,” said Dr. Max Harry Weil, founder and chairman of the institute’s board of trustees. “(This) will have very wide usefulness.” (1)
